Reading: This week we have been working on speed and refining our summaries.
Math: We learned to subtract using negative numbers and we used Jelly Beans and marshmellows to work on subtracting with regrouping. We will be reviewing this after Spring Break.
Social Studies: We made our puppet children for the Antartica.
Science: We have been studying rocks. We have been comparing the different types of rocks the children have brought in. We read 2 books on rocks that looked at they way rocks break up and ways we use rocks in our everyday life. We also made a sandwich that showed how sedimentary rocks are formed.
